Surveillance and Control
The end goal is to have a completely autonomous functioning vehicle designed to deliver parcels from building to building amongst the UH upper campus. The vehicle will be monitored from the grounds station which will be held at the first floor of Holmes Hall at the University of Hawaii at Manoa through cameras on board the vehicle. A live stream of the current location of the AEV will be streamed on a laptop located at the ground station. In the case of autonomy failure, a member from the ground station will retrieve the vehicle, activate a kill switch implemented into the outer structure of the vehicle, and take over the vehicle using a PS4 controller and bluetooth connection to complete the delivery services manually.
