Introducing Team Bowbot

The Autonomous Electric Vehicle System

Team Bowbot is a mechanical engineering 2019-2020 senior design team for the College of Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. We are constructing the 3rd generation prototype of the Autonomous Electric Vehicle System (AEVS) that will be used amongst the upper campus of UH Manoa to deliver parcels.

Features

There are many features that are to be implemented into the vehicle that make this project an innovative and exciting experience. With the aid of a gps tracking device, the vehicle will be programmed to traverse its paths on campus autonomously, all while avoiding obstacles in its path. The vehicle will be electric, meaning that it will not require gasoline to operate and can be recharged as needed. This offers an environmentally friendly alternative to parcel distribution as it does not require burning fossil fuels leading to the production of harmful emissions.
